Papaya Bhujji is an interesting main dish with a distinct taste and the best thing about it is that it is a “no fire cooking” dish. It is also full of nutrition and light on stomach. The goodness of papaya and the flavorful seasoning makes Papaya Bhujji a perfect quick dish for everyone.
- Raw Papaya – 300 to 400 gms.
- Ginger – 1 inch piece
- Green Chillies – 2
- Few coriander leaves for garnishing
- Mustard Seeds – 1 teaspoon (level)
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 1 teaspoon
Servings: 4 persons
Preparation Time: 10-15 mins.
Peel the skin of the papaya and remove the inside part that has seeds. Grate the remaining papaya and put it in a bowl.
Grate ginger and add it to the grated papaya.
Add finely chopped green chillies.
Heat oil and once hot, add mustard seeds. When mustard seeds begin to splutter, add mustard seeds to the bhujji.
Mix well and garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
You can add salt before seasoning but it is preferable to add it later before serving.
Papaya bhujji is ready to be served. Enjoy it as an accompaniment during any meal.
