Lemonade is the quintessential summer beverage across the globe. It is basic and easy, yet a slight variation in proportions can affect the taste of this “every time” and “every where” drink. This recipe of lemonade is sure to get it right for you in the first go!
- Drinking soda (carbonated water) -1 bottle
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Crushed Ice – 1/2 cup
- Lemon – 4-5 (medium sized)
- Lemon slices (as required)
Servings: 2-3 glasses
Preparation Time: 10 mins.
Cooking Time: 5 mins.
To make sugar syrup, mix sugar in half cup of water in a sauce pan and boil it till sugar dissolves completely, while stirring intermittently. Let it cool to room temperature.
Squeeze the juice from the lemons and pour through a strainer to separate seeds.
In a serving glass, add about 50 ml. of sugar syrup prepared previously and 20 ml. of lemon juice. Stir well.
Now add half cup of crushed ice and lemon slices. Pour 160 ml soda and serve immediately.
Relish lemonade with any snack of your choice.
Note: Approximately 10 ml. of ginger juice can be added to the lemonade if you like its flavour.
