- Bel (Wood Apple) fruit – 1
- Honey -1 table spoon (optional)
- Crushed ice – as required
- Mint leaves (for garnishing)
Servings: 2-3 persons
Soaking Time: 60 mins.
Preparation Time: 15 mins.
Break Bel fruit with a hard object like rolling pin.
Using a spoon, scoop out the soft yellow pulp into a bowl.
Take out the seeds as much as possible to avoid bitter taste in the sharbat.
Soak the pulp in one glass of water for around an hour.
Mash the pulp with the help of a masher.
Strain the pulp using a strainer and add more water as required for the desired consistency.
Add honey if you like the sharbat sweet and then refrigerate.
Luscious and chilled Bel Ka Sharbat is ready. Garnish with mint leaves and serve (add crushed ice if required).
